TOEFL Go app launched by ETS for online exam preparation

Check NowNEW DELHI: Educational Testing Service (ETS), the organisation responsible for administering the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test, launched a mobile application (app), TOEFL Go alongside the inaugural administration of the shorter TOEFL internet-Based Test (iBT) exam.
Test takers can access the TOEFL Go app by visiting toeflgo.ets.org. Learners can also create an account, register for tests and access test preparation resources on – ets.org/toefl.
The app will help aspirants in preparing for the shorter TOEFL iBT test. The app is available for free on both mobile and desktop devices. TOEFL Go will support digital practice and provide performance feedback for all four test sections: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

With the help of artificial intelligence (AI) powered scoring method, it provides feedback using the same rubrics as the official TOEFL iBT test. Learners will also be able to get coaching and tips to help improve performance in the speaking and writing sections, with high-level sample responses available for comparison and reflection.
In addition to TOEFL Go , ETS offers various other free test preparation resources. Test takers can access numerous sample questions for writing and academic discussion. ETS in collaboration with Preply will allow learners to have one-on-one tutoring with trained and independent tutors.

The test takers along with test preparations will also be benefitted from TOEFL iBT’s recent approval by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for use in Canada's Student Direct Stream (SDS). The SDS is a study permit processing programme for international students who wish to enroll in designated learning institutions in Canada.
