Two Marwadi University students bag scholarships at Vodafone Innovation Marathon 2022

Two computer engineering students win scholarships worth Rs 2 lakh each at the Vodafone Innovation Marathon 2022.
NEW DELHI: Two computer engineering in artificial intelligence (AI) students from Marwadi University (MU) Rajkot, win scholarships worth Rs 2 lakh each at the Vodafone Innovation Marathon 2022.
Hitesh Kriplani and Pranjul Mishra were declared winners for their ideas in real-time fire detection and personalized treatment of patients based on medical history, respectively. Over 400 teams across India participated in the Vodafone Innovation Marathon 2022. The marathon was designed with the purpose of becoming a platform for innovators to create solutions using areas including data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and cyber security among others.
“The Innovation Marathon was a wonderful opportunity for students like us to hone our technical and entrepreneurial skills. I am glad to have been offered a platform to showcase a tech-based idea geared for social good,” said Kriplani.
“In addition to the financial scholarship, it was a great opportunity to receive mentorship from industry leaders, and to attend master classes and boot camps. I’m thankful I got the chance to present my idea prototype to a panel of industry experts and engage with them in real time” added Mishra.

Along with the two students, Kushagra, Tushar Thoriya and Disha Parmar were part of a team that made it into the finals. The team presented their tech-based idea on brain tumor detection using machine learning (ML).

Marwadi University will also be hosting a national seminar to foster research on computer vision and image processing in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) at the university campus on November 11 and 12, 2022.
