NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay conducted the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2024 today, on January 21. The UCEED exam 2024 was held from 9 am to 12 noon. Students who appeared for the UCEED 2024 exam today, found the difficulty level of the paper as moderate. As per the UCEED 2024 exam analysis, the questions were somewhat similar to previous years question papers.

The UCEED 2024 was divided into two parts- part A and part B. Part A consisted of 14 numerical-answer-type questions (NAT) questions,15 multiple-select-question (MSQ), and 28 multiple choice-question (MCQ). Candidates had to complete Part A in two hours. Part A was of 200 marks in total. Part B consisted of 2 questions to evaluate the drawling and design aptitude skills of the students. Part B carried 100 marks and students had 1 hour to complete the section.
According to the students who appeared for the UCEED 2024, the paper was easier as compared to last year. Students were asked to find the area of the equilateral triangle. There was a figure counting question where a shape was shown and students had to identify the number of triangles present in the figure. There were other image related questions from Solar system and football design.
Drawing section included questions similar to NID paper. Students were asked to design a lunch box for a 6 year old child. Students had to just draw and label the products and for a change they didn't have to provide explanations for the product design.
Students did not find the paper lengthy and could complete on time. There was no major change in the exam pattern. According to them, those who practiced previous years question papers can expect a good score in UCEED 2024.
