NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has allowed two institutions to offer online degree programmes for the November session 2021. The UGC has released the list of eligible higher educational institutions (HEIs) on the basis of applications received.
In the latest notice released by the UGC, two universities, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad (Deemed to be University) and GLA University, Mathura (Private University) have been included to offer open and distance learning programmes and online programmes for the academic session 2021-22.
Both the universities will provide undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Some of the courses include BA and MA in Computer Applications and Business Administration, MA in Commerce. The academic session will be from November 2021 to January 2026.
“The last date for admission shall be as notified by the Commission for each academic session and HEIs shall upload the admission details within fifteen days thereafter. For academic session, November 2021, the last date of admission is December 15, 2021,” the UGC said.
The UGC, in November, allowed three more universities to offer full-fledged online degree programmes in addition to the 49 universities approved so far.
The Commission in its meeting held on July 1, 2021, decided that the academic session of July 2021 will be changed to November 1 with the last date of admission as December 15 under exceptional circumstances.
