The circular has been issued after the CBSE board had urged the UGC to direct universities to await CBSE Class 12 results 2022. The CBSE schools are just a fraction of schools in the country, while the vast majority of students are from state boards. As per reports, the CBSE sent a letter to the UGC after the Mumbai University began the MU UG admission process.
The UGC in its latest notice said, “It has come to the notice that some universities have started registration in undergraduate courses for the session (2022-23). In this scenario, the students from CBSE will be deprived of admission in the undergraduate courses if the last date is fixed by the universities prior to the CBSE result declaration.
The CBSE conducted the Class 12 exams in two terms this year to nullify the impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The performance of CBSE term 1 has already been communicated to schools.
The UGC informed that the CBSE evaluation process is ongoing and soon the process of result declaration will begin. The final CBSE results 2022 will be announced after combining the weightage based on the performance in both the terms. The entire period will take a month, it added.
