NEW DELHI, JUNE 21: National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded UGC NET 2019 examination for June session today on June 28, 2019. The examination was held in online by NTA on June 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 across 266 exam cities in different states of India.

UGC NET 2019 was held for two papers – Paper I and II. Paper 1 was common paper, while the Paper 2 was for subjects opted by the candidates as per their educational background.
Paper I contained a total of 100 marks where candidates had to answer 50 questions of 2 marks each. No marks will be deducted in case the candidates have given any wrong response. In Paper II, candidates had to answer 100 questions of 200 marks. This means that each correct answer will fetch them 2 marks. Like Paper I, in Paper II also no negative marking will be done.
Since, the exam has concluded, the answer key of UGC NET will be available on the authority’s website a few days. Candidates will be able to find the correct answers to questions which have been asked in the exam.
UGC NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Assistant Professors and to award Junior Research Fellowship. The exam is conducted twice a year - June and December. In the UGC NET exam conducted in June 2018, a total of 44001 (Assistant Professor) and 3883 (JRF & Assistant Professor) candidates qualified.
