UGC NET e-certificate, JRF award letter out for December 2023 session at ugcnet.nta.ac.in

The NTA has hosted the UGC NET certificate at ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.in. The UGC NET certificate will be valid for three years.
NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) e-certificate and JRF award letter for December 2023 session has been issued. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has hosted the UGC NET certificate download link on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.in.
The NTA announced plans to make certificates and documents available on UMANG and Digilocker applications. The testing agency conducted the UGC NET Dec 2023 exam for 83 subjects panning over 8 days in 15 shifts in 292 cities.
A total of 9,45,872 candidates registered to appear in the exams from December 6 to 14 and 19. Out of the total registered candidates, 6,95,928 candidates appeared.
Those who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for assistant professor.
“The universities, institutions, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for full-time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the,” the NTA said.
JRF-qualified candidates will be eligible to receive UGC fellowships under various schemes, subject to finding placement in universities, IITs.
The UGC NET e-certificate validity period will be three years with effect from the date of issuance of the award letter. However, for those candidates who have already joined PhD, the date of commencement of fellowship will be from the date of declaration of UGC NET Dec result or date of their joining, whichever is later.
Candidates will have to key in their UGC NET December 2023 application number, password and security pin to download the e-certificate and JRF award letter.
