NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to apply for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 till May 15 up to 11:59 pm. Aspirants who have not applied yet for the exam can fill the UGC NET application form 2024 for the June session on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

“The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC– NET June 2024,” said NTA in an official notice.

Along with the registration deadline, NTA has also extended the last date to make fee payment. Successfully registered candidates can pay the application fee from May 16 to 17.

As the registration deadline has been extended, NTA has revised the application correction dates for UGC NET June 2024. Now, the correction window will open from May 18 to May 20.

UGC NET June 2024 will be held on June 18 for three categories – award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor’, appointment as assistant professor and for admission to PhD and admission to PhD only in Indian universities and colleges.

Earlier, the entrance exam was scheduled for June 16 but the exam agency postponed it. NTA has also announced to conduct the exam in offline OMR-based mode instead of the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Recently, the Jawaharlal Nehru University announced that it has decided to use UGC NET scores for PhD admissions instead of the entrance exam, JNUEE, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) starting from the upcoming academic session.
