UGC Recruitment 2021: Apply for junior consultant post at ugc.ac.in
UGC has announced the recruitment of the Junior Consultant on a contract basis for the period of six months. Apply on or before July 12.

NEW DELHI: The University Grant Commission (UGC) has released the UGC recruitment 2021 notification for the post of Junior Consultant in online mode on the official website - ugc.ac.in. The last date to apply for the UGC recruitment 2021 is July 12, 2021 (12 midnight). Under the UGC recruitment 2021, a total number of eight posts of Junior Consultants have been announced. Applicants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria of UGC recruitment before applying.
According to the UGC recruitment notification, candidates with a postgraduate degree from a recognized university with a minimum 55 percent and a maximum age limit of 35 years can apply. The shortlisted candidates will get the consultancy fee of Rs 50,000 - Rs. 60,000 during the period of engagement. Earlier, UGC has also launched the UGC job portal for SET, NET, PhD qualified candidates.

UGC Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
As per the UGC HR recruitment eligibility criteria, candidates should have a postgraduate degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Good knowledge of computers and working experience in MS Office is also required.

Period of Engagement
The period of engagement of a Junior Consultant is six months, with the possibility of an extension based on the performance. The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the engagement at any time even without any reason.
Work Profile
The Junior Consultants have to assist the commission with academic and administrative activity relating to distance/ online education at higher education institutions in compliance with the regulations and applicable guidelines; also they need to assist in the supervision of universities/institutions that offer distance/online education programmes. They will also be required to handle RTIs and court cases related to distance education or any other work assigned by UGC.
