The three-year UG programme in AI will equip students with core computer science knowledge and specialised artificial intelligence skills to solve real-world problems across industries.

The University of Leeds has announced a three-year BSc computer science programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Indian students. The applications for the bachelors course will begin from January 14, 2026. The total course fee for the degree programme is £32,750 (approximately Rs 34,15,694).
The university will begin the session from September 2026. Notably, students will have an option to choose the optional industrial placement year after the second year of the UG programme. The degree then becomes 4 years, the university said in an official statement.
The university will host the application link for BSc computer science in AI on its official website from January 14 to June 30, 2026.
As per the eligibility criteria, Class 12 students from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), or the West Bengal Board, must have an overall average of 75% and and at least 80% in the two most relevant subjects, including Mathematics, to be eligible to apply for the programme.

Moreover, those from state boards should have an average of 80% and 85% in the two most relevant subjects, including Maths are also eligible. The eligible criteria also required Class 12 English marks at 70% for central or private boards, while 75% in state boards or a band of 6.5 overall in IELTS.
“An automatic £5,000 (around Rs 6 lakh) fee reduction scholarship is available for international students from India. International Excellence Scholarship for Indian Students - 500 awards with up to a 50% fee reduction available for international students,” the statement reads.

“This programme equips students with essential computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures and systems, while also introducing advanced AI concepts including machine learning, deep learning and text analytics to solve complex, real-world problems,” the university said.
The course will be delivered by academic experts in areas such as algorithms, distributed systems and artificial intelligence, providing a strong blend of theoretical understanding and practical application.
Graduates from BSc computer science in AI will be able to find employment across a range of sectors such as non-governmental organisations, government agencies, education, media, gaming, technology, consultancies, finance (& finance technologies), public authority, retail, research & development, among others.
