UoW India collaborates with Odoo

According to a press release from UoW, as part of its efforts to strengthen its ties with Indian organizations, UOW India announced a collaboration with Odoo during the inauguration. Odoo, a well-known open-source business software suite, offers tools in areas such as CRM, eCommerce, and accounting, providing students with hands-on, industry-relevant experience.

Partnership with IBM ICE

IBM ICE is the first global industry partner of UoW India, playing a key role in shaping its curriculum and fostering valuable industry collaboration. This partnership focuses on areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data and analytics, cybersecurity, gaming, contextual mobility, and blockchain technology.

Marisa Mastroianni, managing Director of UoW global enterprises, highlighted India’s growing global influence in technology and education. She emphasized that UoW India brings world-class education to students in India, eliminating the need for international travel.

“Students at our GIFT City campus will experience the same high standards as our Australian and global campuses, including those in Dubai, Malaysia and Hong Kong’’ she said.

Fully funded trip to UoW Dubai campus

Mastroianni states that the UoW Gujarat campus will offer the same high-quality education as UOW’s global campuses, with an added benefit of a fully funded trip to Dubai for the first cohort. Students will join a global network of over 7,000 students and an alumni base of 190,000.

Investment NSW deputy secretary Rebecca McPhee said, “The NSW Government has a close relationship with GIFT City through the NSW-Gujarat sister-state agreement established in 2015. With that foundation, we are proud to have assisted UOW’s expansion in India, facilitating introductions to government officials and prominent Gujarat-based businesses to help bring this new campus to life.”

“This is a fantastic outcome for the UoW and demonstrates not only the importance of the India-NSW relationship but also the many opportunities that exist in the growing field of transnational education,” she added.
