UPMSP will conduct UP board 10th home science and 12th vocational courses exam for more than 8 lakh students today. 

The board will conduct in the morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. For Class 10, students will appear for the Home Science paper. Class 12 students will take various vocational and skill-based subjects and History exam in the afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.

The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Out of 70 MCQs, students are required to answer 50 questions.

Over 24.79 lakh students will appear for the UP Board Class 12 exams in 2026, including approximately 13.03 lakh boys and 11.76 lakh girls. Meanwhile, more than 27 lakh students will appear for the UP Board Class 10 exams in 2026, including about 14.38 lakh boys and 13.12 lakh girls.

Students will not be allowed to appear for the UP Class 12 board examination without their admit card.

Students will get an additional 15 minutes to read the question paper before the exam begins. The total exam duration is 3 hours 15 minutes.

Candidates must secure at least 33% marks to pass the UP Board Class 12 examination. Those who fail can apply for the UPMSP Class 12 Improvement/Compartment exam.

Approximately 27,50,945 students enrolled to take the UP Board class 10th test this year, with 14,38,682 boys and 13,12,263 girls.

The remaining 70% of the computer exam paper is made up of descriptive questions, for which applicants receive answer sheets, and 30% is made up of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) that must be answered on OMR sheets.

Students will not be permitted to take the exam if they do not have their hall ticket with them at the testing location. Aspirants are encouraged to bring a government-issued picture ID, such as a voter ID card or PAN, as identification along with their admit card. 

The important things every students must remember before appearing for the exam are given below.

• It is prohibited to bring any kind of communication equipment into the examination room, including cell phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc.
• It is forbidden to carry accessories such as purses, handbags, goggles, and wallets.
• Since sharing stationery is prohibited, students must remember to bring all of the supplies needed to sit for the UP 12th board exams.
• On all exam days, nevertheless, remember to bring your UP Hall ticket.
• Students will not be permitted to take their UP 12th board exams if they do not have their admit card.

Aspirants must achieve a minimum of 33% in UP Board 12th examinations. Anyone who do not pass the exam may apply for the UPMSP Class 12 Improvement/Compartment Exam.

The UP Board 12th History paper will be broken into five parts. Section A will have ten multiple-choice questions; Section B will have five very short answer questions; Section C will have six short answer questions; Section D will have three detailed response questions; and Section E will feature questions about historical dates and maps.

Students will be given 15 minutes extra to read the question paper. The duration of UP Class 10 and 12 board exam 2026 is 3 hours 15 minutes.

Avoid bringing any forbidden goods to the exam center. All electronic devices, including smart phones, Bluetooth devices, earbuds, and pagers, are not permitted at the exam center. The exam center won't offer safekeeping for banned materials; if such items are brought, they must be held outside the venue at the applicant's own risk. 

The UP Board has finnished the Class 2 English exam at 5:15 pm. The authority will conduct the History exam tomorrow, i.e., February 21, 2026 in the evening shift: 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

The UP Board 2026 Class 12 English Exam will consist of a 100-mark theory paper pattern categorised into four sections: Section A (Reading - 15), Section B (Writing - 20), Section C (Grammar - 25), and Section D (Literature - 40). The exam will include questions like MCQs, short/long answers, and article/letter writing.

Around 27,50,945 students registered to appear for the UP Board class 10th examination this year, out of which approximately 14,38,682 boys and 13,12,263 girls.

The Board will conduct the UP Board Class 10th Social Science exam today in the morning shift. The examination will be held from 8.30 am to 11:45 am. Students must reach the centre 30 minutes before the examination begins.

Thirty percent of the computer exam paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) to be answered on OMR sheets and the remaining 70% are descriptive questions for which candidates get answer sheets.

The UP Board Class 10 computer exam carries 100 points and consists of a 70-point written (theoretical) exam and a 30-point practical (experimental) internal evaluation. The exam lasts three hours.

The UP Board will conduct the board exam 2026 for Class 10 and 12 in two shifts, from 8:30 am to 11:15 am and 2 pm to 5:15 pm respectively. 

The UP Board will provide 30 marks from the internal assessment. 

The UP Board Class 10 social science paper will have 70-marks, including 20 as Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

One Intermediate student was caught using unfair means on February 19, taking the total number of such cases so far to four, while no High School student was involved. No FIR was registered on the day, and the cumulative FIR count stands at six. The examination was conducted peacefully without any untoward incidents.

On February 19, 2026, the UP Board conducted High School Computer and Intermediate vocational subjects in the first shift, and High School Tailoring and Intermediate Civics in the second shift. In the first shift, 96,296 registered, 91,530 appeared and 4,766 were absent. In the second shift, 3,92,274 registered, 3,69,988 appeared and 22,286 were absent. Overall, 4,88,570 registered, 4,61,518 appeared and 27,052 were absent.

The compulsory Sanskrit exams were successfully performed on February 19, 2026. The first shift had 41,614 registrations, 35,340 appearances, and 6,274 absences. In the second shift, 14,156 applicants registered, 13,554 appeared, and 602 were absent. There were no recorded incidences of unfair means.

The Uttar Pradesh Class 10th and 12th board exam 2026 was conducted in two shifts: morning and evening. The morning shift was held from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and evening shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

According to the UP Board test 2026 standards, no instructor, non-teaching personnel, or applicant may maintain any electronic device or mobile in the exam center, and bringing mobiles into the exam room is strictly forbidden.

The UP Board exam was started from February 18, 2026, across the state. On the first day, a total of 49,40,038 appeared for the exam in the both shifts.
