The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) Prayagraj has set up a state-level control room to monitor progress of the UP Board 2026 High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) exams, starting from February 18, 2026.

The control room has been set up at the camp office of the Director of Education (Secondary) at 18 Park Road, Lucknow, the UP Government department said in a statement.
Director of secondary education Mahendra Dev said the control room will monitor examination activities across districts through online surveillance and regular reviews throughout the examination period.
The control room will be inaugurated on February 17 at 3 pm by minister of state for secondary education Gulab Devi. The PIB statement said that the facility will coordinate information flow, monitor law and order situations and issue timely instructions to ensure smooth conduct of examinations.

A total of 52,30,297 students have registered for the 2026 UP Board examinations, making it one of the largest school examination exercises in Asia. This includes 27,50,945 candidates in Class 10 (14,38,682 boys and 13,12,263 girls) and 24,79,352 candidates in Class 12 (13,03,012 boys and 11,76,340 girls). The examinations will be held across 8,033 centres in the state.
Though the high school registrations have slightly increased, the intermediate registrations have declined by 2,25,657 students compared to 2025. Despite the drop, the examination remains one of the largest in scale, requiring extensive coordination and monitoring to ensure fairness and order.
