UP: Lucknow to host 'Yuva Kaushal Chaupal' on World Youth Skills Day

NEW DELHI: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow will host a two-day event 'Yuva Kaushal Chaupal' beginning July 15 on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day. The two-day event is being organized under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Skill India, Super Power India' mission and the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The event will celebrate the transformational journeys of youth, who have become self-reliant through skill training. Hundreds of youth trained by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission will participate in the event, said a press statement. Out of these, 11 outstanding individuals, who have not only secured employment through their skills but also created job opportunities for others, will be featured as "Skill Youth Icons" and allowed to share their inspirational stories on stage.

Platform to promote self-reliance through skilling

Minister of State for Skill Development (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Agarwal said the 'Yuva Kaushal Chaupal' aims to amplify the message of Skill India and demonstrate that skill is true power. He emphasised that this platform would inspire young people across villages and towns to pursue self-reliance through skill development.

From launching mobile repair shops, beauty parlours and digital studios to starting cafe chains or securing hotel jobs, these young achievers demonstrate how skills can transform lives. Their stories will serve as a powerful source of motivation, proving that unemployed youth can become job creators with the right training.
