New Delhi, June 21: The registration process for UP MBBS counselling has commenced in online mode today at 3.50 pm. The registration process is administered by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the state. NEET 2019 qualified candidates, who meet the domicile requirements as mandated by the admission authority, can register for admission. Registration will be accepted till June 24.
The counselling and seat allotment process is being conducted in online mode and has two rounds. It is mandatory for aspirants to get registered and then participate in subsequent processes including choice filling.
There are a total of 3,920 MBBS seats that will be allotted through UP state counselling - the college-wise break is 1,670 seats in government colleges and 2250 seats in private and minority medical institutes. In case of BDS course, 51 seats are offered by government colleges, and 2,200 seats by private and minority institutes.

Registration process
To register, the NEET-qualified candidate must go to the official registration website and fill in all essential information, including payment of fees and uploading of documents.

Payment of fees
In this step, application fee of Rs. 2000 (which is non-refundable) has to be paid.
Take printout of registration form
After submitting the registration form, take a printout.
After the registration process is over, the admission authority will publish a state merit list of eligible candidates on June 25. Candidates who are listed in the state merit list would be able to participate in the choice filling and locking process which will be conducted from July 2-4. Merit list candidates also need to deposit the security money between June 26-30.
The security fee for applying to government colleges is Rs. 30,000, but for private colleges the candidate has to pay Rs. 2,00,000 as security money.
Based on choices entered by the candidate and his or her merit rank, the allotment of seats will be made on July 5. Seat allotment letters will be issued to allotted candidates, which have to be downloaded between July 6-11. Finally, allotted candidates need to report at the allotted college from July 6-12 to confirm their seats.
