Amroha school principal says he doesn’t want to educate those who want to break Hindu temples, as seen in the video going viral on X.
NEW DELHI: Principal of a school in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district allegedly expelled a primary student for allegedly bringing non-vegetarian food to the class. In a viral video that shows a heated exchange between the male principal and the kid’s mother at what can be seen as an office, the school principal can be heard saying that the student says he wants to convert everyone into "Muslim".
The mother of the kid, apparently belonging to the Muslim community, refuted the school head’s claims, asserted that the child is innocent, and claimed that there’s a kid called Arnab who’s ill-mannered and he’s the one creating nuisance. She alleged that the boy has been complaining since the last three months that “Hindu-Muslim” is being discussed in the class.
In the viral video, when the mother asked whether the principal should have called the parents to teach their son, the man said, “No, I didn't. I don’t want to teach your children. They will destroy our temples and will bring non-vegetarian food. You have sent non-vegetarian food to him for lunch multiple times. The child is saying that I bring a non-vegetarian meal. I will convert everyone into Islam by making them eat non-veg, the child says.”
While the mother questioned the principal’s way of talking and claimed that the student will never say such things, he complained of being disturbed by her amidst his duty and said, “You teach your child to kill Hindus, break their temples, and break Ram Mandir. The student draws a picture in which he’s killing a person with a knife.”
The principal further threatened to call the police. I don’t want to teach this culture in my school, he said.
The district’s Muslim committee has written to the district magistrate demanding the school principal’s arrest and suspension of the school’s affiliation, as per an NDTV report. The basic education officer has reportedly formed a team comprising principals from three government schools to probe the issue and directed them to submit a report within three days.
