NEW DELHI: University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun has announced admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes for the academic year 2021-22. The university will hold ULSAT 2021 for admissions to undergraduate law programmes such as BA LLB, BBA LLB and BCom LLB. For admissions to B.Tech LLB, separate entrance exam known as UPESEAT will be conducted. The institute will also accept CLAT and LSAT-India scores for admissions to its law programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate courses

  • The candidates must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with a minimum of 50% score.

  • The candidate should have a minimum valid score from UPES – Law Studies Aptitude Test.

Candidates who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Higher and Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) AIR up to 15000 or L-SAT India percentile of 60 or above are also eligible for admissions.

B.Tech. (Hons.)

  • Candidate must have a minimum 50% score in Higher and Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and minimum 50% aggregate score from PCM in class 12.

  • The candidate must have a minimum valid score in UPESEAT.

Postgraduate programme

  • The candidates must have secure at least 50% marks from class 10th and 12th.

  • The candidate must have completed LLB with a minimum of 50% marks

Application process

The UPES application form can be filled in both online and offline mode. Candidates may fill the application form by registering at the official website of the institute.

Admission Process

The university will shortlist the candidates for admissions on the basis of merit. Candidates with minimum valid scores will be eligible to participate in the admission process.
