UPES added that the students can gain a strong foundation in computer science concepts and programming languages, enabling them to adapt to new technologies, learn new programming languages, and stay updated with the latest trends in the industry.

The online BCA programme will offer three specialisations -- new age technology, cloud computing and cybersecurity and data analytics specialisation -- that will cater to the diverse interests and career goals of the students.

The new age technology specialisation will focus on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), internet of things (IoT), and blockchain. The cloud and security specialisation delves into crucial topics such as cloud infrastructure management, virtualisation, network security, and data protection.

The data analytics specialisation focuses on data mining, data visualisation, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.

UPES vice-chancellor Ram Sharma said, "These specialisations within the BCA program will provide students with specialised knowledge and practical skills in areas that are highly relevant in today's technology-driven world. By choosing a specialisation that aligns with their interests and career goals, students can develop expertise in specific domains and enhance their prospects in the job market."
