UPES launches School of Liberal Studies; invites applications

NEW DELHI: The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has launched the School of Liberal Studies that offers courses in economics, political science, psychology, literature, applied mathematics and data science.

UPES School of Liberal Studies is offering five undergraduate degree programs and is inviting applications to these courses. Interested candidates can apply for the courses at upes.ac.in. The courses offered are given below:

• BSc economics with data science

• BSc applied mathematics and statistics

• BSc psychology and behaviour

• BSc politics, economics and society

• BA literature

According to a statement released by UPES, students can create customised degree programmes by combining programmes of UPES School of Liberal Studies with electives, minors, signature and life skills courses of other schools of UPES.

“School of Liberal Studies is a giant step forward in making UPES a truly trans-disciplinary university. The new school seeks to revolutionise the education process and further our vision as the ‘University of Tomorrow’ to create well-rounded individuals and leaders driven by excellence and empathy,” said Sunil Rai, vice-chancellor of UPES.
