Check NowNEW DELHI, November 13- University of Petroleum & Energy (UPES) has announced the date for the entrance examination. UPESEAT 2019 will be conducted from April 25 to May 5 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for all the eligible candidates seeking admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by the University. UPESEAT 2019 question paper will carry a total of 200 multiple choice questions. (Mathematics- 50, Physics-50, Chemistry- 50, English Language Comprehension- 30, Current Affairs Awareness- 20). The entrance examination will be conducted in English for which candidates will be given 3 hours to complete it.
Talking about the marking scheme, for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark. There is no negative marking in case of the incorrect response.
The admission authority offers admission to its various undergraduate engineering programmes through three channels- UPESEAT 2019, JEE Main merit or class XII board exam score. In order to offer admission to the eligible candidates based on the 3 channels, University has a centralized counselling process where shortlisted candidates are called based on their merit. However, irrespective of the channel candidate's apply through, they will have to fill the application form before the due date.
In order to apply for the entrance exam, candidates can fill the application form in both online and offline mode which is available from September 14. The last date to apply for UPESEAT 2019 is April 25. Along with the form, candidates will be required to pay Rs 1850 as the application fee.
How to apply for UPESEAT 2019?
- Register by submitting details like name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email-id, mobile number city, state, program applying for, Class 10 & 12 details, enquiry source, application pathway, etc.
- Enter One Time Password (OTP) received at registered mobile number. Once submitted, username and password will be sent at the registered email-id.
- Log-in and Confirm the details entered
- Payment of application fee either through debit/credit card, Net Banking, DD or cash.
- Submit academic details and submit the application form.
From this year onwards, candidates appearing for the entrance test will not receive the admit card. Instead, they will be provided with the link for the online test a day before the exam at their registered email address.
