UPPSC PCS 2021 exam postponed due to COVID-19
The UPPSC has announced that the UPPSC 2021 Prelims exam which was scheduled to take place on June 13 has been postponed due to COVID 19.

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced that the UPPSC PCS 2021 preliminary exam which was scheduled to take place on June 13 has been postponed due to the surge in the COVID 19 cases. The Commission will announce the new date for the UPPSC PCS 2021 exam after taking into consideration the COVID-19 situation in the state.
Previously, the commission had begun the registration process for the UPPCS 2021 prelims exam from February 5 and the last date to fill the form was March 5.

About UPPSC PCS 2021 Postponement
The notification for the UPPSC PCS 2021 exam postponement was issued by the controller of examination of the commission, Arvind Kumar Mishra. The UPPSC PSC 2021 prelims exam is conducted for Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services.
The notice for the exam postponement comes at a time when the commission was making preparations for conducting the prelims exam. Also, the Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/ Range Forest Officer (RFO) prelims exam has also been postponed.
The UPPSC PCS 2021 exam was supposed to be held in 23 districts of Uttar Pradesh in two sessions. Arrangements were made to accommodate at least 500 candidates at each centre. All possible steps were being taken by the authorities to ensure that social distancing was maintained at the test centre.
The cities where the exam will be conducted are Gautam Buddh Nagar, Jaunpur, Agra, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Basti, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Moradabad, Varanasi, Saharanpur, Shahjanpur, Sitapur, Raebareli, Prayagraj, Mathura, Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Mirzapur.
Last month, the conducting body for the UPPSC PCS 2021 prelims exam had written to the district magistrates of various cities in Uttar Pradesh asking them to make adequate arrangements for holding the UPPCS 2021 entrance test. However, with the rising number of COVID-19 cases across the state, candidates were pressing for postponement of the exam.
