The UPPSC PCS preliminary exam 2021 is just a week away. It becomes important for candidates to make the most of this time and devote their complete attention to UPPSC PCS preparation.

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will conduct the Provincial Civil Service exam also known as the UPPSC Combined Upper Subordinate Services on October 24, 2021. The UPPSC PCS exam will be conducted for the preliminary stage. Candidates have already been preparing for the UP PCS exam, however, as the exam is just a week away, aspirants need to be assured that they don't take the back seat which can lead them to any mistakes in the UPPSC preliminary exam.

Some UPPSC PCS key tips and tricks like revision, staying calm and confident can help aspirants to stay focused and make the most of the last one week.

Revision - Aspirants must do the one thing, which they are already doing, which is revision. They must revise the complete syllabus once and finally. Revise the notes, short notes, formulas, mnemonics while revision. Candidates must give 60-70% time of their UPPSC PCS preparation time to revision.

Solve UPPSC PCS previous year question papers - Apart from revision, the one thing which aspirants must stick to is solving previous year UPPSC PCS question papers. The best way to solve the UPPSC PCS question papers is to keep a timer set as per the prelims exam duration and solve the question papers. This practice will increase a candidate's time management skills and accuracy.

Say no to new study materials - During the fag end of the exam it is mandatory for candidates to stick with the study materials which they already have in hand. PCS aspirants must not take any new book, subject, topics or any other study materials.

Increase time management skills - Time management is the key while preparing for any competitive exams and not just UPPSC PCS. Aspirants must divide their 24 hours in such a way that they allot 10-12 hours to effective studies, especially during this time when the exam is just a week away. Doing this they will be able to revise all the subjects, topics with enough time remaining to solve question papers and mock tests.

Avoid Distractions - This is a big no, especially during this time. Aspirants are advised to not waste their crucial time in activities such as watching TV shows, friends and family get together, games and most importantly, social media.

Give UPPSC PCS Mock Tests/Test series - In order to strengthen the UPPSC PCS preparation, aspirants must solve mock tests or test series. They must subscribe to either online or offline test series providers as they provide an exam-like environment.

Taking calculative breaks and staying healthy - Apart from extreme studies, it also becomes important for aspirants to take rest or else they might lose their concentration level during the exam. Candidates must take short breaks, go on short walks, involve in light exercise, yoga activities to stay rejuvenated and keep the mind fresh. They must eat healthy food, avoid oily, spicy food as it brings lethargies.
