The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced to fill 241 vacancies, including regional director, scientific officer, legal officer in the central government. Eligible candidates can register for the recruitment process through the official website at upsconline.gov.in.
The last date to submit the online applications for the UPSC-led various posts is July 17 and the registered candidates will be able to print their online application form till July 18, 2025.
As per the selection criteria, unreserved and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates must obtain 50 marks in the recruitment test. Other Backward Classes (OBC) applicants should secure 45 marks and Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates have to obtain 40 marks out of 100 to be able to appear for the interview round.

The commission is inviting eligible candidates to fill various vacancies such as the post of regional director, scientific officer, administrative officer grade-1, junior scientific officer, manager grade –1 or section officer, senior design officer grade-i (construction), and many more.
“In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by interview, the candidate will have to achieve minimum level of suitability in their respective category at Interview stage,” as per the official statement.

Candidates belonging to general, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) male categories will have to pay Rs 25 as application fee to appear for the UPSC Recruitment test.
Notably, there is no application fee for SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates.
“Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner,” the notification said.
