UPSC CAPF notification 2025 out; registration begins for 357 vacancies

UPSC CAPF 2025: Candidates can apply for CAPF, BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB recruitment till March 25 on upsc.gov.in.
NEW DELHI : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the notification for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exam 2025. Eligible aspirants can fill the UPSC CAPF application form 2025 on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The last date to apply for UPSC CAPF 2025 exam is March 25, 2025.
As per UPSC CAPF notification 2025, the written exam will be held on August 3, 2025 for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the CAPF viz Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 357 vacancies.
As per the eligibility criteria, the age limit of candidates should be 20 years. The candidate must not have attained the age of 25 years on August 1, 2025, he or she must have been born not earlier than August 2, 2000 and not later than August 1, 2005.
In order to apply, candidates will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 200 via debit card, credit card, UPI, or internet banking. Female, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants are exempted from fee payment.

UPSC CAPF exam pattern
As per UPSC CAPF exam pattern, the written exam will comprise two papers. Paper 1 will be held from 10 am to 12 noon and paper 2 will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence will contain objective questions carrying 250 marks.
Paper 2: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension will include essay, precise writing, comprehension, and other communication questions carrying 200 marks.
