UPSC CDS 2 notification 2019 released; apply online from June 12 to July 8
New Delhi, June 12, 2019: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification along with the application form of Combined Defence Services (CDS) II 2019 exam on June 12, 2019. As per the official notification, the authority has announced 417 vacancies. The last day to apply for CDS 2 is July 8, 2019. Candidates who are between 20 to 24 years and have completed or appearing in the final year of graduation can apply for this exam. However, there is age relaxation for the candidates belonging to reserved categories. Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories have to pay Rs. 200 as the application fee, while SC/ST candidates and females (of all categories) are exempted from fee payment.
The application form can be filled in two parts - part 1 and 2. In part 1, candidates have to register and fill the basic details while in part 2, candidates will have to select the exam centres, upload the scanned documents.
To fill CDS (II) application form candidates are advised to visit the official website (https://upsc.gov.in) of the Commission and click on the registration link. Aspiring candidates can apply for CDS (II) through online mode only. Before filling CDS application form, candidates must keep some documents ready like scanned photograph (3KB to 40KB), signature (1KB to 40KB), mobile number, valid email id, any one photo - identity proof issued by State or Central Government like PAN card/Aadhaar card/Voter Id card/Passport/ Driving License and details of Visa/Debit/Credit card and Net Banking to pay the application fee.
Candidates who successfully fill the application form will be issued the admit for the written exam. UPSC has also released the exam date for CDS (II) examination in annual calendar and this examination is likely to be held on September 8, 2019. CDS exam is being conducted by UPSC semi annually Once in February and other in November for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Navy, Air Force, Army and Officers Training Academy (OTA).
