UPSC to conduct CDS 1 2019 exam on February 3; check details here

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 31, 2019: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) 2019 written exam on February 3. The exam will be held across multiple exam centres in 41 cities. CDS 1 examination will be conducted for those candidates who have successfully submitted the application form.
Candidates will have to carry CDS 1 admit card and one photo identity proof - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN card, Passport, Driving License to the exam centre. Along with photo identity proof, candidates will also have to take one black ballpoint pen. The admit card could be downloaded from the official website - https://upsc.gov.in till the date of examination.
After the exam, various coaching institutes like NeoStencil, Major Kalshi will release the answer key of CDS for all the sets. Candidates can check and match all answers marked by them during the exam with the help of unofficial CDS answer key. The official answer key of CDS written exam will be released after the recruitment process. The result of CDS written exam is expected to be declared in March 2019.
Candidates who will qualify in the written exam will be called for SSB Interview. SSB Interview will be conducted for 5 days comprising two selection stages. Stage I of SSB Interview consist of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test which is Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in OIR Test and PP&DT will be eligible to appear for stage II in SSB Interview. Candidates qualifying the SSB Interview will be eligible for the admission to Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy and Naval Academy on the basis of final merit list released by UPSC.
For the year 2019, the examination authority has declared as many as 417 vacancies for CDS 1 for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in three defence services - Navy, Air Force, Army and Officers Training Academy.
