NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result for Civil Services (CSE) and Indian Forest Services (IFS) prelims examination 2024 today, July 1. Candidates who appeared for the recruitment exam can download the UPSC CSE prelims result 2024 through the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2024. As per the schedule, UPSC CSE prelims exams will be conducted tentatively from September 20.

In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. The dates and important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and its submission will be announced in due course on the website of the Commission,” UPSC notification read.

Candidates can follow the easy steps given below to download the UPSC CSE prelims result 2024

  • Visit the official website upsc.gov.in

  • On the homepage, click on “Result - CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAMINATION, 2024”

  • The result will appear on the screen

  • Check and download the result

  • Take a printout for future references.

The UPSC CSE prelims 2024 was conducted on June 16 at various exam centres across the country. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination consisted of two papers of multiple choice questions and carried a maximum of 400 marks.

UPSC CSE 2024: Total vacancies

The UPSC Civil Services 2024 examination, a total of 1,056 vacancies will be filled in the central government services and departments. This includes the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Of these, 40 vacancies are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) category.
