NEW DELHI, JANUARY 6: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted Engineering Services Examination (ESE) preliminary exam on January 6, 2019 in offline mode. The preliminary exam was held at 42 exam cities across the country. There were two papers in the preliminary exams - paper I and II.
Paper I was for General Studies and Engineering Aptitude conducted in the morning shift between (9 to 11 am). Candidates were given 2 hours to answer this papers which carried 200 marks. Paper II was for Engineering Aptitude (as per specific stream) held at afternoon shift between (2 to 5 pm). The total marks of paper I was 300 conducted for 3 hours.
Coaching Institutes like IES Master have released the unofficial UPSC ESE answer key 2019. Candidates who have appeared for the preliminary exam can check the answers by downloading the unofficial answer key. The answer key released by coaching institutes have correct answers of all the questions asked in the exam. With the help of answer key candidates can calculate the marks and know the probability to qualify for next round of the selection process.
Candidates who will qualify the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exam. The mains exam will have two papers - paper I and II . Each paper will be conducted for 300 marks which will be held for 3 hours. For the year 2019, as many as 581 vacancies have been announced by UPSC. UPSC ESE is conducted for the recruitment to the Group A/B services in Indian Railway, Indian Ordnance Factories, Central Water Engineering Service, Indian Skill Development Service etc.
