According to the UPSE ESE exam, the prelims exam will be of total five hours wherein the candidates will have to appear in two papers. The first paper which will be of general studies and engineering aptitude is of two hours and maximum marks is 200 while paper 2 will of three hours and it would be 300 marks.
Candidates will have to answer multiple choice questions in the ESE 2021 exam. For every question , four options would be provided. In case the candidate answers the question incorrectly, then he would lose one third of the total marks allotted to that particular question. If he does not answer the question at all, then he would not lose any mark. However, if the candidate selects more than one option while answering in the ESE exam, then he would lose marks.
In the mains exam, there are two papers of three hours each and each question paper of ESE is of 300 marks each.
The ESE 2021 exam is likely to be held across 15 cities in different parts of India and approximately three lakh candidates appear for the exam.
