UPSEE 2020 postponed, new dates to be announced soon

NEW DELHI: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow has postponed the UPSEE 2020 exam due to ongoing lockdown on account of coronavirus pandemic. Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination, commonly known as UPSEE was scheduled to be conducted on May 10.

Ashish Mishra, Media incharge of AKTU informed through a press notice that the UPSEE 2020 exam on May 10 stands postponed due to nationwide lockdown and the new exam dates will be announced soon. UPSEE exam controller from AKTU also issued a notice on its official website stating the postponement of the exam.

UPSEE is conducted annually for admission in First Year of B. Tech./B.Arch./B.Des./B.Pharm./ BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B.Voc./MBA/MBA(Integrated)/MCA/MCA(Integrated)/M.Tech.(Integrated)/M.Tech/M.Arch/MURP/M.Pharm/M.Des courses. The examination is conducted on a single day on multiple slots across various test cities of India.

AKTU has also extended the last date to modify details in filled application form up to April 14 from earlier last date of April 9.

UPSEE 2020 received a total of 1.62 lakh applications, 24,000 more in comparison to last year. A total of 1.25 lakh applicants applied for UG programs and 14,180 applied for PG programs. AKTU has also announced earlier this year that the UPSEE 2020 will no longer be conducted for admission to B.Tech course and admission will be offered on the basis of JEE Main exam conducted by NTA.
