The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) answer key 2026 on the official website of UPESSC at upessc.up.gov.in. Applicants can download the provisional answer key by using the details, including roll number and date of birth.
Applicants can raise the objections against the tentative answer key until July 14, 2026 in online mode. The challenges received through any other way will not be considered. Candidates can check the guidelines for submitting objections on the commission's website.
To object to the provisional answer key, applicants need to pay the objection fee of Rs. 500. In case the objection is accepted by the subject expert, then the objection fees will be refunded to the applicant’s bank account.
UPTET 2026 Provisional Answer Key: Steps to check
To download the UPTET 2026 tentative answer key, follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of UPESSC at upessc.up.gov.in
- Click on the ‘UPTET 2026’ tab and ‘UPTET 2026 answer key’ link
- The UPTET provisional answer key will appear on the screen
- Download the UPTET tentative answer key and take a printout for further reference

The UPTET exam was held in two shifts each day on July 2 and 3, 2026, and in the first shift on July 4, 2026. The morning shift was from 10 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift was from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

To raise the objection against the UPTET 2026 provisional answer key, applicants can follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of UPESSC at upessc.up.gov.in.
- Click on the UPTET answer key objection tab and then login
- Click on the link which is related to challenge the UPTET answer key
- Read all the instructions carefully and choose the UPTET question paper set and the language
- Now, click on the ‘click here to file objections' tab
- Choose the correct answer for the question for which the objection is raised
- Choose the right answer for which the objection has been raised
- Write down the remarks and then submit
- Make the payment of the objection
- Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference

UPTET 2026 Exam: Qualifying marks
Candidates belonging to the general category will be required to get at least 60% (90 out of 150 marks) to qualify the UPTET examination. For candidates belonging to reserved category, they must obtain 55% marks (82.5 out of 150 marks) or the minimum marks as prescribed by the State Government.
