UPTET result 2018 to be declared on Dec 5 for primary classes; upper primary result on Dec 12

NEW DELHI, December 4, 2018: Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will announce the primary class result on December 5 in online mode. However, the UPTET result 2018 for upper primary class will be released on December 12, 2018.
As per the officials, earlier the result is scheduled to announced on December 8, 2018 but based on the revised notification the primary class result will now be announced on December 5 followed by upper primary class result on December 12, 2018.
Candidates who have taken UPTET 2018 on November 18 can check their result by entering required login credentials - registration number and date of birth in the login window. To download the result, candidates can visit the official website - http://upbasiceduboard.gov.in
The result of UPTET carries the candidate’s name, roll number/registration number, date of birth, category, subject-wise marks and overall marks obtained in the exam. After the declaration of UPTET result 2018 , the authorities will also release the district-wise cutoff for each category. Candidates are required to obtain more than or equal to UPTET cutoff marks in order to qualify in the exam.
As per the notification, candidates belonging to a general category will have to score 60% marks while SC/ST/OBC candidates will have to secure 55% marks. Qualified candidates are given an eligibility certificate which is valid for 5 years. The eligibility certificate of UP TET 2018 can be collected from the district education board by submitting details like admit card and photo identity card.
UPTET 2018 exam was conducted for two papers. Paper I was conducted for candidates who had applied for primary classes (I to V) and Paper II was held for candidates who had applied for upper primary classes (VI to VIII).
This year as many as 17,83,716 candidates have registered for the exam, out of which, 16,94,530 candidates appeared for the examination. UPTET 2018 was held in offline mode for two papers. The exam was conducted across multiple exam centres in 75 cities of the state.
