NEW DELHI: The Vivekananda Global University concluded the four-day annual mega fest ‘Panache’ with an awards ceremony and celebrity night live show. Comedy artist Gurleen Pannu was the chief guest and entertained the audience with her humor and acting style during the event.
The awards ceremony event saw awards in various categories such as Overall Rolling Trophy, Best Team, Highest Participation, Best Discipline and 9 Best Category Trophies along with cash prizes up to Rs 2 lakh. The four-day annual festival featured more than 50 events with participation from more than 100 teams and 50,000 participants.
VGU chairperson and former IAS Lalit K Panwar and VGU Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Onkar Bagaria distributed trophies and cash to the students, teachers and staff who won various competitions organized in the 'Panash 24' event.
Speaking on the occasion, Panwar said that such events provide a platform to young minds to showcase their innovative ideas, talent and skills. He said that the youth should use their knowledge and technical skills for social welfare and humanity, as per an official statement.
Underlining the importance of organizing such student-centric events, Bagaria said that Panache is a cultural-cum-sports annual festival which showcases the talents and dreams of the youth at VGU, nurtures and shapes the university. The university is always committed to the holistic development of the students, he said. He thanked all the participants including all the faculty and staff for making the event a success.
