VIT announces admissions to undergraduate agriculture programme

NEW DELHI: Vellore Institute of Technology has started the admissions process of B.Sc Hons. Agriculture for the academic session 2020-23. The mode of application is online. Interested candidates can register themselves and fill the application form on or before the last date of application submission. The application window will be closed in the month of June 2020. The application fee is Rs 600. The eligible candidates will be called for counselling on the basis of merit list which will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the higher secondary examination. The final result will be published on the institute website.
Programme Fees
The programme is divided into three categories. i.e, Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3

Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates who have the following credentials shall be eligible for admission to four years B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture programme.
Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education alone are eligible to apply.
The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National.
Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.2000.
A pass with minimum overall aggregate of 70% and with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture as subjects in the qualifying Examination or intermediate or any equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
A pass with minimum overall aggregate of 60% and with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture as subjects in the qualifying Examination or intermediate or any equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University for the following categories.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST community.
Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir / Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
