NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 9: VIT University has announced the exam dates for VITEEE 2019 as April 10 to 21. The entrance test which is held online is for admissions to the B.Tech programmes at the University’s campuses at Vellore and Chennai as well as VIT Amravati and Bhopal. The exam dates this year may however clash with JEE Main 2019 April dates as JEE Main is now a computer based test to be held from April 6 to 20. The VITEEE 2019 result date has however not been announced as of yet. However, the result is tentatively expected to be announced in the last week of April.

The entrance test will be held in three sessions per day as follows:

  • Session 1 will be held from 9 to 11.30 am
  • Session 2 will be held from 12.30 to 3 pm
  • Session 3 will be held from 4 to 6.30 pm

It may be noted that VITEEE 2019 application forms are currently available from October 28, 2018 onwards. The last date to fill the application is February 28, 2019. Applications are available both online and offline. Slot booking which is mandatory for the issue of the e-admit card is likely to start from the last week of March, 2019.

Clash with JEE Main 2019 April and SRMJEEE 2019?

Students booking their VITEEE 2019 slots are advised to book them diligently to avoid a clash with JEE Main 2019 April as well as SRMJEEE 2019 which will be held from April 15 to 25. While the SRMJEEE 2019 dates for the respective exam centres will be announced a bit later, it is expected that JEE Main 2019 will be held after by April 12 if one looks at the past trends. JEE Main in January also was scheduled to be held from January 6 to 20, the actual dates that were announced are January 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 2019. The same is likely to be applied to the April session of JEE Main. The only problem with the JEE Main 2019 slots is that they are allotted by NTA which is conducting the exam for the first time. While students will have the choice of slot booking for VITEEE 2019 and SRMJEEE, they will not have the liberty to do so with JEE Main. Hence the advisory is to wait till NTA announces the dates and then book the slots for the other exams to avoid missing on any.
