VITREE 2025: Registration begins at admissions.vit.ac.in; eligibility, exam pattern, schedule

NEW DELHI: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has commenced the Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) 2025 registration. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the VITREE 2024 registration form by visiting the official website, admissions.vit.ac.in. The VITREE 2025 registration deadline is November 25.
VITREE is conducted for admission to various PhD, Direct PhD programmes in VIT group of Institutions. As per the official schedule, VITREE 2025 exam will be held on December 7. VIT will conduct a personal interview round for students who pass the entrance exam on December 14. According to the official schedule, the institute will announce the VITREE results 2025 on December 20.
VITREE 2025 eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the VITREE 2025 eligibility criteria below.
- PhD: Applicants are required to hold a Master’s degree in engineering or technology in the relevant field with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. Alternatively, qualifications like MSc (Engineering), MS, or MTech are accepted.
- Direct PhD: Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in their Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area. A minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5 on a 10-point scale is required.
- PhD in architecture and planning: Aspiring candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or planning and a master’s degree in architecture, design, planning, building engineering and management, or equivalent, from a full-time or regular education programme. They should have secured at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale throughout their academic tenure, where applicable.
VITREE 2025: Exam pattern
The VITREE 2025 exam will be held online in computer-based mode. The medium of the VITREE 2025 exam is English. The duration of the paper is 2 hours. There will be a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. For the VITREE 2025 PhD paper, there will be a total of 3 sections-Technical, English communication skills, statistics and probability. On the other hand VITREE 2025 direct PhD there will be only two sections-Technical and English communication skills. Candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
