India's Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu wished and encouraged youth on the International Youth Day through social media.

NEW DELHI: Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu congratulated the youngsters of India on International Youth Day 2021 through social media. Naidu began with wishing the youth of India and went on to say that they should lead the nation’s transformation, while talking about several other aspects.
“My heartiest greetings to all the youngsters on #InternationalYouthDay today. Youth, with their new ideas and abundant energy, should lead the transformation of the nation. They should be at the forefront of fighting social evils like casteism, corruption, dowry and illiteracy,” Naidu said on Twitter.

Youth, with their new ideas and abundant energy, should lead the transformation of the nation.
They should be at the forefront of fighting social evils like casteism, corruption, dowry and illiteracy.
The Vice President added that the youth should work towards climate change; focus on physical fitness; and show interest in sports.
“Youth should be proactive in tree plantation & work towards mitigating the impact of climate change. They should take more interest in sports of their choice & focus on physical fitness & yoga. #Youth should uphold Bharatiya culture & develop a share & care attitude. #YouthDay,” he said.

International Youth Day is celebrated every year on August 12. This year, the theme is "Transforming Food Systems”.
