NEW DELHI: West Bengal College Service Commission will close the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2024 registration window today, September 10, 2024. Interested candidates who have not applied for the 26th State Eligibility Test can register for West Bengal SET 2024 through the official website, wbcsc.org.in. The WB SET 2024 registration link will be deactivated at 12 midnight.
According to the official notice, the correction window will open on September 16 and close on September 18. Successfully registered candidates will be able to modify their details on the WB SET 2024 application form through the correction facility.
Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to make changes in WB SET 2024 application form.
The WB SET 2024 examination will be conducted on December 15, 2024. The Test will consist of two papers. Both papers will consist of only objective-type questions. The exam will be conducted in two shifts- Paper I in the first shift from 10.30 am to 11.30 am and Paper II in the second shift from 12 noon to 2 pm.
The examination fee is Rs 1,300 for general category candidates, Rs 650 for other backward classes/ EWS category candidates, and SC, ST, PWD and Transgender category candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs 325. Candidates may pay the examination fee by credit card, debit card or internet banking. Additional processing charges will be as applicable.
WB SET 2024 exam is conducted offline (pen and paper). It consists of two papers. Paper 1 is a General Paper on Teaching and Research Aptitude, with 50 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of Paper 1 is 1 hour. Paper 2 is subject-specific, chosen by the candidate, and contains 100 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks. The duration of Paper 2 is 2 hours. The total marks for the exam are 300, with 150 questions in total. Each correct answer awards 2 marks, and there is no negative marking
