NEW DELHI, MAY 14: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBCS) has announced the new exam dates of WBCS mains exam. As per official notice released by WBCS, the mains exam will be held on July 25, 2019. Earlier, the mains exam was expected to be held May 25. The examination authority, WBCS will also release the admit card for the mains exam for the candidates who have qualified the prelims exam.

WBCS admit card 2019 for mains exam, will be available in online mode. To download the admit card, candidates will have to enter enrollment number/first name and date of birth. WBCS admit card 2019 will contain candidate's name, date of birth, roll number, time, date and venue, photograph and signature of candidates provided during registration and exam day guidelines.

In case of any discrepancy in WBCS mains admit card, candidates must contact the examination authority to get it corrected. The mains exam will be held for 1600 marks where a total of 8 papers - six compulsory papers and one optional subject divided into two papers. Each paper will be held for 200 marks. Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete each paper.

Today, WBCS has released the WBCS result and cutoff of preliminary exam held on February 9, 2019. A total of 15,997 candidates have qualified in the prelims exam who are eligible to appear for mains exam.

WBCS is conducted for the recruitment of candidates to the various posts available under West Bengal Civil Services. The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of three stages - prelims, mains and interview to recruit eligible candidates.
