WBCS Result 2019 for Preliminary Exam Announced @pscwbonline.gov.in; 15997 Candidates Qualify for Mains Exam

NEW DELHI, MAY 14: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBCS) has released the result of the preliminary exam on May 14, 2019. Candidates who have appeared for the prelims exam on February 9, 2019, can check the result online at - pscwbonline.gov.in. The result has been released in pdf format with the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

A total of 15997 candidates have qualified for the mains exam. Candidates whose roll number are present in the result pdf are eligibile to appear for the mains exam. Along with the declaration with WBCS result 2019, the commission has also released the cutoff for the preliminary exam.

WBCS cutoff has been released category-wise. The preliminary exam was conducted for 2 hours 30 minutes carrying 200 marks. The standard of questions was based on graduation level comprising of different topics like English Composition, General Science, Current Events of National and International Importance, History of India, Geography of India with special reference to West Bengal, Indian Polity and Economy.

The date of mains exam has been announced by the commission. WBCS 2019 mains exam will be held on July 25. According to the exam pattern the mains exam will consist of 8 papers conducted for 1600 marks. Candidates who will be declared qualified in the mains exam will be eligibile to appear for the Personality Test. The personality test will be held for 200 marks.
