West Bengal NMMS result 2024 out for Class 8; district-wise selection list at scholarships.wbsed.gov.in

NEW DELHI: Directorate of School Education, West Bengal, has declared the result for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) exam 2024 today, April 28. Students who appeared for the scholarship exam can check their West Bengal NMMS result 2024 through the official website at scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.

Students will have to enter their registration number and password to check the West Bengal NMMS result 2024. The district-wise selection list PDF is available on the official website along with the West Bengal NMMS result 2024.

The PDF will include details such as the candidate's roll number, name, address, school name and address, district, quota, gender, caste, disability status, MAT and SAT marks, total marks, and Aadhar number.

Students of Class 8 who have secured 55% or more marks in the final examination of Class 7 were eligible to appear for the NMMS exam 2024. A 5% relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and disabled categories.

Students who qualify for the NMMS exam will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 12,000 per annum. However, students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, state government-run residential schools, or any private schools are not eligible for the scholarship.

To qualify, students shpuld be enrolled in recognised government schools, government-aided schools, local body and government-sponsored schools, including Madrasahs without residential facilities. The parental income should also be below Rs 3,50,000 per annum from all sources. An income certificate must be uploaded as part of the application process.

Students can follow the steps outlined below to download the WB NMMS district-wise selection list 2024.

• Visit the official website at scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.
• Under the Notice tab, click on “NMMSE-2024 District Wise Selected Candidates List.”
• The dropdown menu will display the district-wise selection list. Select the district.
• The West Bengal NMMS selection list PDF will appear on the screen.
• Download the PDF for future reference.
