NEW DELHI: World University of Design (WUD) has launched a first-of-its-kind BTech in Computer Science and Design. Under the programme, students will learn coding, software, digital tools, design, user experience, and interactive media.
According to the university, the BTech programme had been “long synonymous with a great career in the Indian IT industry.” Noting that artificial intelligence (AI) can replace trained engineers resulting in rapid shrinking of conventional IT jobs, putting students’ future in jeopardy, the university said that the programme will equip students with coding expertise and embedded principles of human-centered design.
The BTech programme is for Class 12 graduates (with mathematics). The key highlights of the course are design, user experience, interactive design, creative and emerging technologies, interactive and visual media, software and computational thinking.
