NEW DELHI: The World University of Design (WUD) has launched new courses in creative domains for the academic year 2020-2021.
The industry-specific courses aim to bridge the gap between the changing job market requirements and the academic curriculum.
In an official statement, WUD’s vice chancellor Sanjay Gupta said, “These courses are aimed at making our students future-ready and we are confident that these new courses will help in bridging the gap between corporate and academia.”
The five new courses cover design, fashion, animation and performing arts.
The specializations for the 4-year B. Des (computer science and design) include games developer, 3D programmer, web developer and multimedia programmer.
The 3-year BBA (fashion business management) will focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and integration of design thinking at strategy, planning and implementation levels in the global and local fashion business.
The 2-year M. Des (user experience and interaction design) will provide the students with career opportunities in the IT industry, business, education, health, media, defence etc.
The 2-year M. Des (international fashion business) is designed to forge leaders in the global world of fashion.
The 4-year Bachelor and 2-year Masters’ programme in performing arts will teach students about new age performing arts.
