THE World University Ranking 2022: JNU best in India to study Social Sciences
THE World University Ranking by Subject: Jamia Millia Islamia is best in India for Business and Economics.

NEW DELHI: The Times Higher Education has announced the World University Ranking by Subject 2022 for four new subjects - social sciences, education, business and economics, and law. No Indian university has ranked in the top 100 universities this year.
However, in the global rankings, JNU is best in India for Social Sciences subject and ranks in the 401-500 bracket followed by Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University and Delhi University in the second, third and fourth places. These three universities have been placed in the top 501-600 universities.

For Business and Economics, Jamia Millia Islamia is in the 401-500 bracket followed by Lovely Professional University (501-600), Amity University (601+), and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (601+).
Whereas, Saveetha University and Symbiosis International University are the only two universities in the overall THE rankings for Law.
Recently, the THE also revealed the best universities for Computer Science subject, and India’s Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru bagged the 81st position becoming the only Indian institute to be in the top 100 list.
MIT, Stanford, Cambridge, Oxford, and Harvard universities are the best universities in the world to study these subjects.
