WUD conferred with 'Most Upcoming University' by ASSOCHAM India

NEW DELHI, JULY 17: World University of Design (WUD) has been awarded the prestigious Assocham Award for the 'Most Upcoming University' of the year, 2019 at the Edu Meet 2019 (Innovation and Employment) and Education Excellence Awards held in Kolkata recently.
The award recognizes the University’s significant contribution towards promoting design education, through its efforts towards innovation, R&D and cutting-edge transdisciplinary programs.
“This recognition from ASSOCHAM is a great validation of our efforts to provide world-class creative education to the students and is indeed a huge responsibility bestowed upon us. World University of Design represents a vibrant, dynamic, and distinctive community of students. It is our endeavour to help students examine and engage with multiple artists, designers, and change leaders across the world, to gather different perspectives on why design matters and how design thinking can help redefine the future.,” said Dr Sanjay Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, World University of Design.
“Diverse pedagogy, trans-disciplinary programs and excellence in art and design education have helped the World University of Design to get this award, which recognizes efficacy, excellence and contribution in the education sector on an annual basis”, he further added.
WUD considers international exposure as a quintessential part of design education and aims to provide abundant opportunities to its students to explore and experience various nuances of this facet of education. Such exposure enhances a student’s personality and broadens the vision.
WUD is signing MoUs with leading educational institutions across the globe to facilitate a constant exchange of students, scholars, and research topics.
