XAT 2019: XLRI Jamshedpur shortlists candidates for interview; update interview city by Jan 17

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 17: Besides the result of XAT 2019 on the night of January 16, 2019, XLRI Jamshedpur has also declared the list of shortlisted candidates for interview round for the admission to 2019-21 batches. The XAT 2019 result and shortlist for the interview at XLRI, came quite as a surprise on the official website of XLRI as they were not expected before January 31, 2019.

In order to check if they have been shortlisted for interview round at XLRI Jamshedpur, candidates need to visit acad.xlri.ac.in/results. Next, they need to select the programme name from the drop-down menu. They can choose any of the below-mentioned programmes, such as:

 

1. Business Management (BM)

2. Human Resource Management (HRM)

3. General management program (GMP - Fifteen-month programme)

After entering their XAT ID, candidates can check if they have been shortlisted for interview round in the selected programme/s. The link was made available on January 16.

Notably, XLRI has also requested all shortlisted candidates through XAT/GMAT to update the interview city by midnight January 17, 2019. Some other points to be kept in mind regarding the update of interview city are:

  • Candidates who are shortlisted for multiple programs are requested to book slots separately for all programmes.

  • Once a slot is booked, no further changes will be allowed. Candidates are requested to not send any request mails to XLRI regarding the same.

  • Candidates must check their Spam Folder / Junk E-mail folder regularly just in case the XLRI results-related email gets delivered there instead of their inbox. If that happens, they must select the message and click ‘Not Spam’, which will allow future messages to get through their inbox.

Candidates who have still not downloaded their XAT 2019 scorecard can do so by logging in to the official website and entering their XAT ID and Password. The scorecard shows the sectional and overall percentage and percentiles of the test taker. It will be valid until December 31, 2019.

Prior to the results, XLRI had released the XAT 2019 answer key and a PDF of candidate’s responses. Candidates could calculate their raw score using them. The scores of General Awareness have not been taken into consideration to calculate teh XAT result. Nevertheless, it is used for final selection process at XLRI and other 150 B-schools accepting XAT scores may or may not use them. The cutoff of XAT will also be announced by XLRI for each of its programmes. It is expected to come out in the next one week. After the cutoff, XLRI will conduct the selection procedure in February-March.

XAT Cutoff 2018 GMP (Global Management Programme) - 68 percentile

Usually, there is no official cutoff released by XAT participating institutes. Only XLRI and its 11 member institutes release it. Test-takers will be invited for selection procedure that is expected to differ from institute to institute. The XAT selection procedure will include Group Discussion/Writing Ability Test/Personal Interview rounds. The final merit list will be declared in the month of April. This merit list will contain the names of selected candidates who will be offered admission in the PGDM (BM/HRM) and GMP at XLRI Jamshedpur. The fee structure is as follows:
