The XAT 2026 exam will be held in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The XAT registration 2026 fee is Rs 2,200.
The XAT 2026 exam is conducted annually in over 70 designated test centres in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The date for the issuance of the hall ticket for XAT 2026 is December 20.
XAT 2026 scores are accepted by more than 250 management colleges and B-schools for admissions to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes, such as XLRI Jamshedpur, MICA Ahmedabad, XIM Bhubaneshwar, IMT Ghaziabad, and S P Jain Mumbai, except Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) .

XAT Exam Pattern 2026
The XAT 2026 paper will include multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The questions are distributed variably in the XAT entrance exam, that is, one section has more questions than another section. Apart from MCQs, one essay writing question will be asked in the test.

As per the XAT 2026 marking, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. However, 0.10 marks will be deducted for more than 8 unanswered consecutive questions, and there’s no negative marking in the GK section of the paper.
