11 Sharda University faculty members among top 2% of Stanford University’s world scientists list

NEW DELHI: The Sharda University has announced that 11 of its scientists have been recognized in top 2% of Stanford University's world scientists list. These researchers are set to contribute to a variety of fields, including binding materials and nanomaterials, biotechnology from plant biomass (secondary agriculture), biofuels, breast cancer, bioenergy harvesting, bacterial biofilms, biopollution studies, bioethanol production, programming languages, and privacy and security, among others.

To celebrate this accomplishment, Sharda University organized a felicitation ceremony during which the chancellor, PK Gupta, and pro-chancellor, YK Gupta, presented the scientists with mementos and shawls as a token of honor. This year, the Stanford University's world scientists list included a total of 2,23,153 scientists from fields.

Chancellor PK Gupta said, "This remarkable achievement highlights the global impact of Sharda University's research across multiple disciplines, underscoring the institution's commitment to scientific excellence and innovation."

Pro-chancellor YK Gupta extended his congratulations, stating, "It is with immense pride and joy that I congratulate Sharda University’s distinguished scientists for being recognized among the top 2% in the world by Stanford University. Their tireless dedication and perseverance have not only earned them individual recognition but also elevated our university’s stature on the global stage."

Vice-chancellor Sibaram Khara stressed that the scientists at the university are involved in research aimed at benefiting both society and the nation. He expressed pride in all the achievers who have brought honor to Sharda University, stating, "We will continue to strive for excellence and aim to accomplish even more in the future."

Dean of research, Bhuvnesh Kumar, emphasized the university's dedication to nurturing a culture of excellence. Their contributions have made a significant impact not only in academia but also in industries, policymaking, and social advancement."
