19.09 lakh NEET, JEE Main 2020 admit cards downloaded

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the admit card of Joint Entrance Examination - JEE Main on August 17, 2020, and for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET 2020 on August 26. Despite protests and urges on social media to not download the admit cards, recent reports suggest that a total of 19.09 lakh JEE, NEET admit cards have been downloaded.
As per the statistics released by NTA regarding the download of hall ticket, a total of 7.6 lakh and 11.49 lakh candidates have downloaded JEE Main and NEET admit card respectively.
JEE Main and NEET to be held on scheduled dates
There have been widespread protests and backlash against the government and authorities for conducting the exams amid COVID-19 pandemic. However, the authorities are committed to conducting the exam on the scheduled dates which are as follows:

JEE Main and NEET admit card download statistics
The statistics for the number of downloads of NEET and JEE Main admit card has been making headlines ever since the same was released. 4 lakh candidates in the first 3 hours and 6.84 lakh candidates downloaded NEET 2020 admit card in the first 5 hours. As many as 7.6 lakh candidates downloaded JEE Main admit card until now.
#Postpone_NEET_JEE trending
Despite the release of the admit card of NEET and JEE Main candidates, politicians and other influential people are still trying their best to postpone the exams. Conducting the examination amid COVID-19 pandemic and floods in Assam and Bihar is being highly criticised. The Supreme Court also dismissed a plea of 11 petitioners from 11 states who were demanding postponement of NEET 2020 and JEE Main citing the above-mentioned reasons. However, the final decision had been left in the hands of the Government with no interference from the Supreme Court.
