NTA NEET 2020 Admit Card Live Updates: Over 10 lakh admit card downloaded despite postponement protests

NEW DELHI: National Testing Agency (NTA), has released the NEET 2020 admit card at ntaneet.nic.in. NEET admit card 2020 can now be downloaded by entering the application number, date of birth, password and the security pin given. NEET 2020 exam date is September 13, 2020.

As per the latest update over 10 lakhs aspirants have downloaded the ntaneet.nic.in admit card in just 24 hours, earlier NTA has notified that 15.97 lakh candidates have registered for the medical entrance test. The NEET exam will be held in 3842 exam centres across the country. Supreme Court has ruled that candidates overseas may come to India and appear for the exam.

NEET admit card released by NTA is now available at www.ntaneet.nic.in. NEET admit card download can be done using the required credentials. The admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried at the exam centre. NTA admit card also carries special guidelines for COVID-19 to be followed by aspirants. NEET exam will be held on September 13, for 15.97 lakh registered aspirants. Medical entrance exam will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 155 cities of India.

What are the changes in released NEET 2020 admit card from the previous year?

Aspirants can also check the following changes which have been made in the available admit card of NEET 2020 as compared to previous years.

NEET 2020: COVID-19 Advisory at ntaneet.nic.in

Along with the admit card of NEET 2020, NTA has released COVID-19 Advisory for medical aspirants to ensure the smooth completion of the entrance test. The advisory mentions the three major measures to be undertaken by the authorities, staff, candidates and their guardians at the exam centres. These include guidelines for pre-examination, during the exam, and post-examination.

Preparation at centre

  • SOPs for implementing safety precautions and for maintaining the required standard of hygiene are getting implemented.
  • Seating Area will be thoroughly sanitized. All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc will be disinfected. Wheelchairs (if present at the venue) will be disinfected.
  • The gap between 2 seats will be maintained as per GOI guidelines.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available at entry and inside the exam venue at various places for candidates and centre staff to use.
  • Thermo guns will be available in the Registration Room to check body temperature of candidates. The Room/Hall number will be informed to the candidate inside the Registration Room.
  • It is ensured that all the processes are touch free to ensure Social Distancing norms.
  • Candidate to reach Centre as per the Reporting/Entry time at Centre given in the Admit Card to avoid any crowding at the Centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distancing.

Pre-Exam Preparation

  • Candidate to check Reporting/ Entry time at Centre given in the Admit Card and to reach centre as per Reporting time only to avoid any crowding at the Centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distancing.
  • Candidate should fill NEET UG Admit Card and Undertaking completely and properly, as per the instructions.
  • Candidates will be permitted to carry only certain items with them into the venue.

NEET 2020 admit card reporting time and entry of candidate

  • To avoid crowding at the NEET examination centre entrance, candidates will be given staggered time slots for reporting.

  • A prior communication on this process of staggered entry will be shared with the candidates through admit card and through SMS.

  • Security guards at the gates must wear masks and gloves as they become the first point of contact for all candidates.

During Examination

  • Candidates can sanitize their hands with sanitizer available in the examination room/hall.
  • Candidates are required to paste passport size photograph and sign on the Attendance sheet and NEET 2020 Admit Card after sanitizing hands with sanitizer.
  • In order to stop the chances of any UFM being used in the examination, the candidate is expected to wear the freshly provided mask at the NEET exam centre. The candidate will be required to remove the mask worn by him/ her from home and use the mask provided at the centre in the examination room.

After Examination

  • On completion of the NEET exam, the candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner one candidate at a time. 
  • Duly filled NEET admit card 2020 at the end of the examination must be handed over to the Invigilator.
